Travel Information
DRIVING
Aspen is located in the Roaring Fork Valley in Pitkin County Colorado, and 220 miles from Denver via I-70 west to Glenwood Springs. From Grand Junction, Aspen is an easy 2.5 hour drive east on the I-70 connecting with State Highway 82 in Glenwood Springs. While from Eagle/Vale, Aspen is just over 1.5 hours, again travelling on the I-70 West to Glenwood Springs.
PARKING
If you are travelling to Rare Aspen by car, for your easiest parking option we encourage you to park in the Rio Grande Parking Plaza, which provides convenient covered parking, and is just a 10 minute walk from the show. Which provides short stay and all day parking.
PARK & RIDE
A free park and ride service to aspen is also available. Brush Creek Intercept lot is the closest, and is located just a 12 minute ride from Aspen. However, there is also a park and ride service available from Basalt, El jebel, Carbondale and Glenwood Springs.

FLYING
Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) is located only three miles from downtown Aspen, and is the most convenient airport in the Rocky Mountain region. United, American, and Delta airlines offer hundreds of nonstop flights each week, flying directly from nine cities during peak season. These cities include Denver, LA, Chicago, Houston, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Atlanta and Minneapolis.
FREE SHUTTLE
The newest addition to the Aspen transportation family is the Downtowner, a free door-to-door service within the service area boundaries. The Aspen Ice Garden and the Rio Grande Parking Plaza are included within this area, as well as most of downtown Aspen. The service is available from 8am – 11pm and can be used via the Downtowner App.
TAXI
High Mountain Taxi provide a taxi service, throughout Aspen & Snowmass, 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Ground transportation to and from the Aspen Airport (ASE) to all locations in Pitkin County. 6 passenger minivans with luggage racks.
