TRINITY HOUSE PAINTINGS | ART FOR SALE COTSWOLDS
The arrival of February has bought another momentum of art for sale in the Cotswolds. We have new works arriving into the gallery which always brings much interest and excitement. The finishing touches are being added to our new gallery viewing rooms at No.35 and dates are being pencilled in the diary for fairs in the summer and autumn which we will, of course, let you know about nearer the time.
“IS THE SPRING COMING?” HE SAID. “WHAT IS IT LIKE?”…
“IT IS THE SUN SHINING ON THE RAIN AND THE RAIN FALLING ON THE SUNSHINE …”
– FRANCES HODGSON BURNETT, THE SECRET GARDEN
Might we just for a moment look and listen to the days creeping in length and the birdsong increasing…
We have had flurries of snow in Broadway but with the light managing to hold on for a little longer in the day, there is positivity in the air.

COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR | TRINITY HOUSE
Mark has over twenty years’ experience in the Fine Art World specialising in the 19th and 20th Century markets. Mark truly believes that the main aim is to provide the best advice and to help clients build the best collections possible.

We are lucky to have built up over the years a really comprehensive library of books. I wanted to recommend to you one which we refer to often, a really beautifully written and presented book on one of England’s greatest traditional landscape painters and a pioneer of British Impressionism, Edward Seago, written by James Russell.
EDWARD SEAGO BY JAMES RUSSELL
This is the definitive account of the life and works of Edward Seago; a popular, versatile and talented British painter, inspired by John Sell Cotman, John Constable and Alfred Munnings. Over 200 colour reproductions are complemented by an engaging text which highlights important periods, episodes and acquaintances from Seago’s life and career.
Full of anecdotes, sketches and quotations from the artist’s books and correspondence, the author provides a vivid impression of Seago’s character.
This book reproduces beautiful landscapes, vibrant circus images, dramatic seascapes and paintings inspired by the artist’s travels aboard.
