This lovely watercolour was produced by Douglas Gershue. Gershue was highly proficient in watercolours, he mainly produced maritime works and seascapes. His passion was for painting highly atmospheric works of vessels, big and small, in the harbours and waterways. He captures brilliantly the flickering of light upon moving water.
