Astor Milan Salcedo was born 1969 in Madrid, Spain, as a child of Colombian parents. From early childhood on his journalistic surrounding influenced him.
After a successful career as a fashion/ portrait photographer he expanded his field of work into moving pictures. In 2009 he won the highest television award in Germany „Deutscher Fernsehpreis“ for his work on the documentary „Die Bombe“. Driven by his yearlong passion for art and the art world it became his work focus in 2012.
Astor‘s abstracts paintings and overpainted photographs center on mankind and it‘s vital relation to nature. He is fascinated with our struggle for a balanced life and our constant pursuit to reach personal happiness.
