    Born in Lyon, she was the student of André Perrachon and G. Thurnes. André Perrachon was a well-known painter of roses and this influence is clear here in Brun’s choice of subject-matter.

    She regularly exhibited at the French art salons, in Lyons from 1892 and in Paris from 1896. In 1909, she won a second-place medal at the Salon de Lyon. Her favourite subjects were flowers and fruit.
