Living in Taunton, Webb uses stone from Portland Bill, Dorset. Choosing 60 million year old stone, Webb deliberately chooses it for its imperfections. Due to its age, flecks of fossils and shells can often be found in his sculptures.

Chris Webb originally started off working as a Black Smith until he found his true passion with Stone and Bronze. Influenced by Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth, Webb Works from his drawings and is very much influenced by the human form.

‘I do not theorise or debate the meaning of them. They are simply about me trying to make beautiful pieces, which make me smile’
    Chris Webb
