Here Hugh Cameron Wilson has captured the beauty of the coastline on Laggan Bay on the Isle of Islay, which is the southernmost of the Inner Hebredies islands, off the West coast of Scotland. Laggan has often been depicted in artwork over the years, and although Islay has over 130 miles of coastline and Laggan is thought to be the most beautiful but and also is a safe place to swim. Unlike Laggan, most beaches on the spectacular Atlantic west coast aren’t suitable for swimming, and Wilson depicted this beach as it was a popular place for people to visit, especially during the summer months.
Along with the neighbouring island of Jura, it’s known for its whisky.
