Eduardo Leon Garrido was a Spanish artist born in Madrid in 1856, who went on to spend his adult life across Italy and France. His style was influenced by impressionism and romanticism, and artists he met such as Mariano Fortuny and Martin Rico. Garrido specialised in dance scenes and portraits of women, often in decadent Rococo rooms.
