Entirely self-taught, Marcel Dyf is considered to be one of the last of the true Impressionist artists. Influenced and inspired by the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists, in particular Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Dyf excelled in his ability to capture the light and atmosphere of his subjects.

Dyf exhibited at the major Salons in Paris throughout his career and achieved a great many awards for his vibrant Impressionistic paintings. Dyf’s fame spread beyond continental Europe to the United States and his work can be found in many important museums and private collections.
